The Houses October Built 1 and 2 are found footage horror films about extreme haunted house attractions. The Houses October Built is about a group of friends who set off on a road trip in a RV to look for the most extreme haunted house for Halloween. Just when their search seems to reach a dead end, strange and disturbing things start happening and it becomes clear that the Haunt has come to them. The Houses October Built 2 picks up where it left off from the first movie.

The Houses October Built is shot in found-footage style. Group of horror fans are set out to look for most extreme haunted house attraction around United State. They brought their cameras to document everything they see.
Most of the movies is about the group of friends visiting different type of haunted attraction around different cities. Between each attraction, they are asking the locals to help find the most extreme haunted house attraction. That is when they are introduced to “Blue Skeleton.” But at the end, “Blue skeleton” finds them.
The ending is very erupt and left with many question unanswered. But The Houses October Built 2 pretty much picks up where it left off and explains pretty much everything from the first movie. Because of this, I recommend watching both movies.
I feel like The Houses October Built 2 isn’t good as the first one. The first one has bit of mysterious element to it where you are not sure what is going to happen next. But The Houses October Built 2 is very predictable, and it looks very much like the first movie. They are on a same RV looking for another extreme attractions…again. Many times, it just looks like one of those Travel Channel shows where they showcase different Halloween attraction around the city.
The Houses October Built 2 does get somewhat interesting towards the end where they are faced with mysterious extreme haunt called “Hellsbent”. Also it sets up for surprise twist ending. The surprise twist ending wasn’t really mind blowing but it wasn’t disappointing either.

If you are a fan of Halloween Haunted Houses attractions, you’ll enjoy The Houses October Built 1 & 2. Be sure to watch both movies back to back. I give 4 out of 5 stars.
