The Review (Spoiler Free)

I really like this movie. I can’t really categorize as horror but it has the movie has lots of horror element to it.

The movie is basically building up to the final surprise ending.  The movie build up slowly but the movie is not boring at all. It is driven by very good acting and intelligent dialog.  So it sets up nicely for the big ending.

The big surprise ending is great.  It has not only one, but two surprise ending–surprise ending follow by another surprise ending.  You won’t be disappointed.

This is type of movie where you’ll enjoy more if you don’t know too much about the movie.  The part of the ride trying to figure out what is going on and what is going to happen next.

Acting and Directing

As I mentioned before acting is top notch. The main casts include Logan Marshall-Green, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Aiden Lovekamp, Michelle Krusiec, Mike Doyle, Jordi Vilasuso, Jay Larson, Marieh Delfino,  Tammy Blanchard, Michiel Huisman, Lindsay Burdge, John Carroll Lynch, Toby Huss, and Danielle Camastra.

The movie is directed by Karyn Kusama who was also involved in XX horror anthology film.  She is also known for directing Jennifer’s Body and Aeon Flux.

In the Nutshell

I highly recommend The Invitation. I give 5 out 5 star.  It’s must see movie.
