Emelie Review (2016)

Emelie is suspense thriller about evil baby-sitter.  It is low-budge movie. The movie is not perfect but good enough to get entertained.

The Review (Spoiler Free)

The story is about Thompson family with three young children.  It is parents anniversary and they head out to the city for special night.  While they are gone, they hired a baby sitter (Sarah Bolger) to watch their young children.  Since their trusted babysitter is not available, they went ahead with her close friend.  Even though they don’t know her, they trusted her because of the recommendation.  But of course, this baby sitter is not what they think she is.

The movie is not perfect. It has many plot holes. There are some situations which is not realistic. But it has enough suspense to keep you on the edge of the seat until the end.  Because it involves innocent young children, it does get pretty intense. We do get to find more about the evil baby sitter and her backstory.  We get to see why she is doing what she is doing. All hell broke lose on last 20 minuets of the movie so get ready for the ride.

The ending was okay.  It was satisfying.  I won’t say more about the ending because you’ll enjoy more when you don’t know the movie is going to end.
