Time Trap is very entertaining time travel film that you probably didn’t heard about.
The Story
A group of students venture into the deep caves of remote Texas to locate a favorite archaeology professor who inexplicably has gone missing while searching for the Fountain of Youth. In the course of their pursuit, the group unwittingly rappels into a break in the space-time continuum, where time passes much slower than on the surface. With no hope for rescue, they descend further into the cave and uncover the most coveted urban legend in history and find themselves in the crossfire for its control.

If you fan of time travel movies, this is a must watch. Time Trap is very original time travel theme movie. I’ve seen many time travel movies, and Time Trap does stand out from the rest.
Time Trap is not Hollywood blockbuster film. In fact, you can tell right away it is a low-budget movie. But it is surprisingly entertaining movie with lots of twist and surprise in the story. It’s proof that you don’t have to spend millions of dollar to make entertaining movie.
The plot is very simple. Time Trap plays with an idea that there is hidden pocket in a cave where time runs slower. If you think about it, nature is full of surprisingly large-scale booby-traps. As examples, the La Brea tar pits have trapped countless thousands of animals for literally tens of thousands of years (and even one human girl). Sinkholes and caves with vertical walls have been treasure troves of ancient animal skeletons trapped over thousands of years.
Just like any other time travel movie, it does have its own flaws. But nothing major that distract from the story. But you have to remember that any time travel movie will have some flaw in the logic and stories.
Time Trap doesn’t have too many special effects and some of the special effect looks bit cheesy but it is understandable since the movie is not a high budget movie. But these cheesy special effects don’t district from the story because the movie is not driven by the special effects. It is purely driven by the story and the characters.
The ending is very satisfying but it leaves room for sequel which we are not sure if they are planning to make it or not.

Overall, Time Trap is very entertaining time travel movie, and if you are a fan of time travel movie, this is a must watch. [5 out of 5 stars]
