Killer Toon Review (2013)

Are you looking for good Asian horror? Check out Killer Toon.  Many Korean horror movies are known for good story. This horror is good example of horror movie driven by good story mixed with surprise ending.

The Review (Spoiler Free)

The movie is about successful horror comic book artist. But every time she draws a comic, it happens in real life and someone dies. These two cops decided to investigate this strange deaths but find themselves with more then bargained for.

The movie started out as some kind of vengeful ghost movie. But as the movie untangled, its turned out to be completely different movie.  It is almost like watching completely different movie. But this doesn’t mean the movie is bad movie.  It is still interesting enough for me to sit through the movie and wondering where does movie is going to go next.

Most of Korean movies don’t end with cliff hanger or has ambiguous ending. This is pretty much same.  The movie ends graciously after revealing all the unanswered question and mystery.  Again, this isn’t good or bad. Some might like this and some might not like it. Just matter is taste.

The movie is directed by Yong-gyun Kim who is known for The Red Shoes (2005), Wanee & Junah (2001), and The Sword with No Name (2009).

In the Nutshell

I give 4 out of 5 stars (Not perfect but good enough to enjoy)
